Any good expedition involves travelling to far off lands and new environs. It also give the locals of the areas you travel through an opportunity to show off their wares and partake of your good fortune. Celebrate this by bringing your wares to sell or by sharing your wealth by purchasing the excellent goods our populace have to offer.
Medieval Market at Surveying Expedition.
On the Sunday at Surveying Expedition, we will be running a medieval market
for the benefit of those at the Event, and any day trippers that may want to
come in for Sunday activites.
The broader picture is to establish a showcase for the craft/art skills for
SCA/living history folk, and provide a focal point for them to sell and get
feedback on their creations.
The market set up will be under the main pavillion. We have trestle tables
for stallholders.
Anything that is apt to be sold at an SCA event will be accepted.
At the moment we are looking for stallholders to purvey their wares. If you
are interested, please contact me via email and I will put you on the list.
Cost to the stallholders is $2, which can be paid on the day. Entry to the
Market is free to anyone at the event.
We already have a number of stallholders interested who will be selling
armour, jewellery, clothing, and wood turned products, however we do need
more stallholders to make this a viable event.
If you simply want to come along and show off your skills as an artisan, but
don’t really want to sell anything, thats perfectly fine as well.
